A little DIY I cooked up this weekend. It is our wedding invitation cut into strips inside this ornament. I used one wedding invitation and the RSVP card to give it a little more fullness. For each piece I cut into strips I wrapped it around a pencil to give it some curl and put it inside the ornament. Great idea b/c I had a few leftover invites and now we can cherish it every year during the holidays. The purple ribbon is from the invite also. Thank you PINTEREST for this fab idea!
I was doing a little research today about the wedding ring. Did you know the ring finger on the left hand was chosen because the Romans and Greeks believed this finger had a vein, the vena amoris or vein of love, connected directly to the heart? Today people wear their wedding ring traditionally on their ring finger of their left hand following the Roman tradition. Some modern interpretations of this practice explain that the majority of people are right handed and it is more convenient to wear a wedding ring on the ring finger of the left hand. I would like to think we do it because the ring is directly connected to our hearts. It’s so much more romantic than just b/c we use our right hands more. During the Medieval times people wore their rings on whatever hand they wanted. Finding the eligible bachelors would be much more difficult, don’t you think ladies???
What do you think: convenience or the connection to the heart???
Your comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
Erin

I have my heart set on Fiji. How could you not love it??? It’s far away, but so beautiful I think it would be the trip of a lifetime!
What do you think? Have any ideas for similar places?
