Ashy’s First Kayak trip was this past weekend.  We took both dogs and it was a success.  Never a dull moment, that was for sure.  Arnold has been many times, but now he is getting more comfortable he just jumps off the boat.  Early on in the trip he jumped off the kayak in an area with a lot of downed trees.  As his mamma I jumped out after him, which I now realize was a mistake.  He went right to shore and my kayak went into the logs.  I made the attempt to get back in after climbing up on a log… and it was a failure. The boat turned right over… everything came out and I had a Jack Russell starring at me from shore.  For the remaining 8 miles Arnold found himself in a canoe :-)
