Our trip began on Saturday… We made some minor adjustments to the kayaks to allow us to carry more gear. A small project turned into 2 1/2 hours of Sky operating a Pop Rivot Gun. The trip was postponed until Sunday. Picking up my new china cabinet was another time consuming adventure on Sunday, which you will hear more about later! We finally got on the water around 5/6pm Sunday.
Our put in location was Allenton River Access, near Six Flags. Everyone else was coming off the river and we were setting out with 3 dry sacs, a cooler and Jack Russell. We stopped just past the Rt 109 Bridge near Eureka and set up camp. Here is a photo tour of our set up:

Arnold

The Garage where Arn was attempting to keep cool on such a HOT Summer day at 8:50AM
We have only gone Kayaking once this summer and this was Arnold’s first trip of the year and he was showing no signs of fear. He has been making huge strides since he was first introduced to water last summer. This trip he ventured into the water on his own, which he never did before and he even got so daring to stand at the tip of the boat and fell off a handful of times. Needles to say we brought home one dirty, tired pup!
Our trip ended at Sherman Beach. If you know where the Wabash Frisco and Pacific Railroad in Wildwood is, we took out there. There is a huge construction project taking place right now to connect the Al Foster Trail to Route 66 eventually.
